What's at Highway 6 and Memorial Drive? Two gas stations, a Subway, a Starbucks, and more

This is where Memorial Drive ends (or starts, if looking East from Barker Dam). The Expro Office Building sits right on the foot of the Dam, and you end up in its multi-level parking garage if you continue on through the intersection at Highway 6 going West on Memorial. The office building is actually named Memorial 6. There is a Subway sandwich shop next to it; a Starbucks across the street in the SE corner of the intersection, a Kolache Factory franchise, and there are a few other retail businesses.

An Exxon gas station with car wash is located on the NE corner and a Conoco gas station at the SW corner.

Farther North is a Dairy Queen (with entry into the drive-through on Memorial Drive next to the Exxon petrol station); and a Quality Inn. 

The intersection is signalized and has crossing lights for pedestrians. Highway 6 is a very busy multi-lane road that should not be crossed on foot anywhere except at intersections with traffic controls. To the North, Grisby Road does not have traffic lights yet as of late 2012. The nearest signalized intersection is at Katy Freeway (inbound and outbound frontage roads).
